The Baldwinsville Central School District is seeking qualified candidates for per diem substitute teaching placements for the 2021/2022 school year. Interviews will occur monthly commencing August 2021 through May 2022. The starting rate of pay for certified substitute teachers is $138.50 per day ($151.00 per day after 20 days; $158.00 per day after 50 days). For retired teachers (any NYS Public School District), the daily rate of pay for the 2021/2022 school year is $165.00. Non-certified substitute teachers working toward certification will be paid $120.00 per day. Non-certified teacher who have been awarded a Bachelor degree earn $110.00 per day.
All applicants are required to provide college transcripts and proof of teaching certification(s) held, if applicable. Fingerprint clearance will be required, if hired.
The Baldwinsville Central School District is located about 10 miles northwest of Syracuse, New York. The district is the third largest suburban public school system in Onondaga County covering approximately 75 square miles and servicing a litttle over 5,500 students in eight buildings. The district has five elementary buildings (grades K-5), one middle school (grades 6-7), one junior high school (grades 8-9), and one high school (grades 10-12). About 900 instructional and support staff work for the district.
