The work involves assisting in the preparation and serving of food, cleaning kitchen equipment and other light manual tasks incidental to the preparation of food in a school cafeteria. This is routine work, performed under direct supervision, consisting of food preparation and service such as preparing foods for cooking, placing food on trays and serving. Ability to work independently and as a team. Depending on the area of assignment, an employee in this class may participate in cooking food. Does related work as required.
Position is typically 3.75 hours per day, during school lunch hours (Approximately 9:45am - 1:00 pm - this may vary depending on lunch periods in each school). The position follows the school calendar and is a ten (10) month position.
The ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds multiple times during a shift. The ability to work at any of the K-12 school buildings.
