Work is primarily manual laborer in all aspects of grounds and building maintenance work, including, but not limited to shoveling, raking, weeding, mulching, pruning, weed eating, push mowing, sweeping, cleaning interior of buildings, washing trucks, moving furniture and other items within buildings or between buildings, and other duties as assigned. Throughout the course of the day incumbent may operate hand held machines such as push mowers, trimmers, leave blower, power washer, etc. May also be assigned to work in a building cleaning, moving furniture, etc., as needed.
Monday – Friday / May 1, 2024 – August 30, 2024
Typically eight (8) hours per day, but may vary dependent upon the needs of the department.
High School Diploma or GED.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to operate commercial grounds/mowing equipment.
Knowledge of simple tools used in grounds maintenance work.
Knowledge of the practices and techniques of general ground maintenance and general building maintenance.
Physical condition commensurate with demands of the position.
Ability to work outdoors in extreme heat, rain, cold, etc
