Auditorium & Theater Production Assistant

 

The work involves providing technical assistance to teaching staff, administration, students and community groups for the utilization of theater facilities to present films, hold meetings or produce dramatic or musical productions. Responsibilities include operation of computerized lighting systems and professional sound systems. Additionally, the incumbent is responsible for standards and providing supervision for groups not supervised by a teacher. Work is performed under general supervision.

TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES

40 hours per week. Some overtime may be required.  General hours of work include evening events and some weekends.  The ability to flex your work schedule is a must. 

Provides technical theater assistance and/or assistance with basic use of the auditorium to district administration, staff, students, and community groups:

 Implements lighting and sound designs for staging and producing dramatic and/or musical productions;

 Advises and assists in the selection, installation, maintenance and operation of lighting plot, audio recording, videotaping;

 Trains and supervises student stage crew and/or district staff members in the use of theater equipment;

 Advises and assists all outside groups seeking to utilize the auditorium/theater;

 Coordinates the usage of the auditorium/theater to ensure all appropriate requests can or cannot be accommodated;

 Maintains records of auditorium/theater usage and prepares reports as required;

 Serves as a technical advisor to those using the auditorium/theater;

 Maintains a working calendar of events scheduled for the auditorium/theater;

 Maintains inventory of auditorium/theater lighting supplies, sound supplies and other equipment;

Inspects the theater’s technical systems;

 Confers with district administration when outside services are needed;

 Provides programming and technical assistance as it pertains to athletic scoreboard and stadium lighting;

 Maintains Auditorium/Theater Marquis signage and other electronic display boards;

 Uses computer application software in the performance of the job;

 Performs a variety of other related activities as required.

Perform routine tasks related to the control of student behavior and assisting students in the lunchroom and hallways.  The position is typically during lunch hours and is approximately 2.5-3 hours per day.

Job Coach (25-26)JBCH25-26

The Job Coach will work at specific job locations training students with disabilities in a work/study program.  You will train student(s) in proper employee behavior and how to perform worksite tasks.  Act as liaison between school district and employer.  Identify weaknesses in student(s) as employees related to employment skills.  Complete paperwork as assigned.  

 

$17.70 per hour
Certified Lifeguards25-26 Lifeguards

This is a position involving responsibility for supervision of an indoor swimming pool during the Fall and Winter Athletic Seasons and ensuring the premises' safety and welfare.

  • good knowledge of lifesaving techniques and first aid;
  • good knowledge of resuscitation techniques, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation; lifeguarding certification;
  • good knowledge of the use and care of lifesaving equipment;
  • ability to swim well and make surface dives;
  • ability to pass water safety tests at the beginning of and at any time during the season;
  • ability to instruct bathers in water safety techniques;
  • ability to maintain order on the swimming premises;
  • ability to follow oral and written directions;
  • ability to effect rescue; 
  • ability to deal effectively with people; maturity; integrity; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.

Availability:  Saturdays - 8:00 am to 1:00 pm; Monday-Fridays 2:45 pm - 7:30pm
