School Nurse, RN

Baldwinsville CSD has a full-time School Nurse vacancy.  Under the direction of the School Nursing Supervisor, the School Nurse is responsible for providing direct school nursing services in an effort to promote prevention, medical management and academics in the school setting.  The School Nurse will assess and evaluate the health and developmental status of pupils in order to make a nursing diagnosis and establish a priority for action, interpret the health and developmental status of pupils to school personnel, parents and pupils as appropriate. Applicants must enjoy working with children of all ages. 

This position is a 10- month position.  Monday - Friday 8 hours per day.   Building location is determined after internal transfers.  A comprehensive benefits package is available including medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Plan, sick leave, personal days, and eligibility for enrollment in the NYS Employee's Retirement System.

School Nurse Substitute (24-25)

Perform professional nursing services at our school district in the maintenance of acceptable health standards, school health records, and the emergency treatment of student and employee health problems.  Under general direction, an employee in this class is responsible for giving care to students and for performing related nursing services such as pupil health appraisal and follow through and communicable disease control requiring specialized judgement and skills.  8 hour work day.

$179.00 per day
